New training center in record time

Precise planning, collaborative teamwork and efficient implementation came together seamlessly when setting up a new, fully equipped training center at Lindauer DORNIER GmbH. A new, state-of-the-art learning environment for some 75 apprentices and students in the dual education system became a reality within a very short space of time – fully equipped and ready in time for the start of their training program. The focus was on quality, functionality and a smooth process at every step of the way.

Lindauer DORNIER GmbH is a family-run business from Germany that shapes the global market with its innovative machines and systems in the areas of weaving, film production and lightweight construction – all of the highest quality. For its 75th anniversary, the company decided to invest in the future and opened a new training center for 75 specialists of tomorrow.

Holistic concept for optimal training
The goal was clear: a sophisticated, forward-looking and seamless learning environment. They were looking for a partner that would take a holistic approach to planning as well as the design and implementation of the equipment and organizational systems. Special focus was placed not only on the traditional apprentice workshop, but also on tailor-made workstations for mechatronics engineers.

Timing proved to be the project’s biggest challenge. Once the building had been completed, only two months remained to get the entire facility ready for operation.

Impressed by the personal customer support
The Hoffmann Group, an SFS company, impressed them with its quick responsiveness, comprehensive solution expertise and personal on-site support. Working closely with the back office and the planning team, they used a step-by-step approach to develop a coherent overall concept. One key factor behind this project’s success was the customer’s active involvement: Joint consultations and visits to manufacturers fostered transparency, trust and laid the groundwork for well-informed decisions.

From individual components to an overall system
The scope of delivery included workbenches, drawer cabinets, office equipment and all the tools needed for day-to-day training. High-quality products were only part of the story – equally important was how seamlessly the components work together. This lead to a sophisticated overall system that optimally combines efficiency, ergonomics and organization.

Right on time for the start of training
The result: a fully equipped training center that meets the highest standards. Compact workstations featuring fully equipped hexagonal workbenches and special-use tables guarantee maximum efficiency, while the largely E-shaped drawers help ensure that the contents remain organized and easy to access. With everything from a single source. The GARANT GridLine series – a drawer system that offers a perfect blend of functionality and structure – was one of the components selected. This and all other components can be assembled on a modular basis and flexibly adapted to individual needs.
