Cleverly simple – simply clever:

Stadler is counting on the HOLEX 24seven goods issuing system

The Distribution & Logistics segment added Hoffmann’s HOLEX 24seven smart goods issuing system for its range of tools in August 2021. The system is impressively simple yet swift, which is why the HOLEX 24seven is being used at Stadler, where it assists employees and impresses on a daily basis.

Added value

  • Interconnected processes take burden off employees
  • Automation offers enormous time savings
  • Absolute cost transparency, simple controlling and access to a predefined range of SFS products

The operations managers at Stadler’s factories in Bussnang, Winterthur and the central warehouse in Weinfelden (all of which are in Switzerland) were looking for a practical solution that would take some of the burden off employees at central material issuing points. Hoffman’s HOLEX 24seven has impressed them with its ease of operation and secure filling. Not only that, but introducing the system is extraordinarily simple: The range of items is defined with the customer in advance, the dispenser cabinet is set up on site and connected to the Internet, then filled with the desired items – and at that point, the system is already up and running! The HOLEX 24seven works based on an approach that is simple yet clever; employees select an item and the desired product is issued by the system.

Not only is the HOLEX 24seven ready for operation in nearly no time at all, but it also features user-friendly software. Despite the wide range of options, no time-consuming training is needed – just a quick introduction. The clever functions are intuitive to use, ensuring that nothing can stand in the way of employees obtaining the item they need with ease.

Stadler has a total of eight HOLEX 24seven units in use and two more goods issuing systems will follow by March 2022.

Philipp Hardegger Head of Material Issuing, Stadler Bussnang AG
“To truly improve the situation for our employees, we needed a streamlined issuing system that gets tools where they’re needed in a cost-efficient way. The HOLEX 24seven system is the perfect solution for our problem.”

Item withdrawals are traceable and items can be reordered automatically from SFS and/or Hoffmann once the inventory has reached a predefined minimum. That not only simplifies employees’ withdrawal of items but also means that products no longer have to be re-ordered manually.

Many possible applications

Universal compartment sizes mean that there are nearly no limits to the type, size or quantity of products stocked in the unit. Whether personal protection equipment like goggles and earplugs, consumables such as batteries, tools and machines or products of a chemical/technical nature: item withdrawals are traced and automatically re-ordered when the inventory level is low. That gives Stadler’s employees 24/7 access to the products they need in the immediate vicinity of their workstation.

The pleasant collaboration with Stadler is not only based on the HOLEX 24seven, but also the broad product portfolio of SFS and Hoffmann. Stadler, Hoffmann and SFS signed a five-year framework agreement for the entire range of tools at the end of 2020. Based on that agreement, SFS and Hoffmann currently supply tools and fastening systems to Stadler factories around the world.
